Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa) is dedicated to showcasing innovative contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. Located in the historic Grain Silo Complex in Cape Town, the museum aims to make modern and contemporary African art accessible to both local and international audiences, fostering cultural dialogue and inspiring creative expression.
The institution features nine floors of dynamic gallery spaces, offering visitors an immersive experience through a diverse collection of works spanning painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and new media. Zeitz MOCAA also emphasizes engaging its community through exhibitions, educational programs, and artist residencies, supporting the growth and visibility of African artists on the global stage.
During the tour, our knowledgeable guide will take guests through the museum’s expansive galleries, highlighting key artworks and thematic narratives that reflect Africa’s rich artistic diversity. In conversation with one of our assistant curators, we will explore the creative processes behind the exhibitions, discuss the concepts expressed in the artworks, and delve into the cultural and social dialogues that African contemporary art sparks.
The Norval Foundation

The Norval Foundation was founded by the Norval family. Their aim in establishing this foundation was to make art widely accessible to local and international visitors by creating a self-sustaining centre for art. The institution focuses on 20th- and 21st-century visual art from South Africa and beyond.
During the tour, our specialist will take guests on a curated tour of the 8 gallery spaces and beautiful Indigenous sculpture garden. We will talk in conversation with one of the assistant curators about the art on exhibition: explaining the creative process or thematic concepts as expressed in the artworks of selected artists.
The National Art Gallery

The National Art Gallery was founded in 1872 at the top of the Company Gardens. We offer a unique art-history tour of South Africa’s premier art museum that houses outstanding collections of South African, African, British, French, Dutch and Flemish art. Selections from the Permanent Collection regularly change to enable the museum to have a full programme of temporary exhibitions of paintings, works on paper, photography, sculpture, beadwork, textiles, and architecture. These exhibits provide insight into the extraordinary range of aesthetic production in this country, the African continent and further afield.
The Irma Stern Museum

Located in Rondebosch. The museum is the Artist’s house in which she lived after returning to South Africa in 1920. Irma Stern was a Jewish artist who had a big influence on the development of Modern art in South Africa. She was also a collector of African artefacts, and these objects as well as her paintings can be viewed at the museum.
We offer a unique art tour of the treasures found in Irma’s house, explaining her life and influence on the development of a modern art movement in South Africa. Reference will also be made to her controversial nature, travels abroad and international influence.
